" I am a clinical and laboratory hematologist with nearly 20 years of specialist practice. I trained at the University of Nairobi and Christian Medical College, Vellore, India. I have long experience of working with the Kenya Defence Forces for 18 years, from where I retired as the Chief Oncologist and Clinical Pathologist. I joined the civil service with the county government of Kakamega and later joined the academic space at the Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) as lecturer, at the School of Medicine. I am currently at the Kenyatta University Teaching Referral and Research Hospital (KUTRRH) as a Clinical Pathologist and consultant Haematologist. We have been successful in establishing new services such as special haematology outpatient clinics, bone marrow aspiration, trephine biopsy, and blood apheresis, among others. "
