Patrol /final inspection dimensional Duties as follows, ensuring ITP and MPS were adhered to by TATA at each of the processing stations.
Ensuring planning and set ups are within controls laid down for edge, U and O pressing.
Prior to and during production verification of consumables used during SAW welding on welding machines, verification of welding parameters on all SAW welding machines. Mechanical test sample removal is in line with MPS, verification of Expansion ratios i.e. measuring and calculating prior and after expansion, Hydrostatic testing witness and verification of test. Witnessing of NDT on pipe ends i.e. M.P.I., compression U.T., Cap scans on welds.
Carrying out Full dimensional control on those pipes selected, final identification and marking
BSR Monitoring the technical Quality conditions during coating production throughout the manufacturing , external FBE coating and internal lining .
L&T India vendors inspection of stock pipe at Tube developments Kilsyth Scotland, for Aramco end use.
Inconel Exotics pipes and tubing for Mc Dermott middle east Special Alloys Wiggins of Hereford . Inspection as above including PMI checking.
Ram pumps (Worthing ) for inspection of 10 pumps on skids for final and dimensional.

Control and leading 200 plus inspectors from Intertek Turkey, with 8 pipe mills in country Production sites, EEW and Baosteel in China.

Controlling and participating Carrying out MPQT trials as Team leader for the Spiral welded pipe mills and coating plants in Turkey, reporting of results to the project and vendors inclusive of all documentation. Reviewing MPQT reports from the pipe suppliers assessment for compliance, Weldability trials from each vendor, line pipe package meetings, progress meetings, Review of, production, NDT, mechanical testing, coating, handling, storage at port facilities, transportation procedures. Evaluation of MPQT reports, journey planning for the MPQT team.
Maintaining control of the reporting from the TPI from the pipe mills, weekly progress meetings with client and TPI’s.
Verification of the TPI procedures in the pipe mills and reporting.
Vendors progress reports ensuring deficiencies are highlighted to project.
Monitoring the technical Quality conditions during production throughout the manufacturing , external 3 layer coating and internal lining and mechanical testing operations when production was in full flow, inclusive of verification of procedures, in particular NDT procedures with a level III, Coordinating with the N.I.B. inspection services with the supply of nominated inspection teams and ensuring their duties are carried to the ITP /MPS via company audits Review of Pipe tracking systems, Quality consolidator procedure documentation. Handling complaints regarding damaged pipe at the receiving port with Bao steel. Workshop for procedure clarification, Review and commenting on technical manufacturing issues, logistics planning, storage, relative to production and supply to construction sites of line pipe.
