Road safety expert focused on human factors

" Drive.

It's in us all. It's what gives us purpose. My specific purpose is to conduct work in pursuit of a better world, but the question that this leads to is this: how have I personally made the world a better throughout my professional career?

I make the world a better place by working to reduce road traffic collisions related to my 10 years of road safety experience, entailing a Statistician role in the UK's Department for Transport, my PhD, research assistant roles, an internship, and working in the commercial sector where my knowledge was utilised.

I make the world a better place by conducting effective governance related to my 5 years of working in charity that focused on social causes and a Statistician role in the UK's Department for Work and Pensions, where I analysed financial data to inform policies related to employment and pensions.

Fundamentally, the world may not be as we wish it to be at times. But it can be. With dogged determination, the impact of my work will lead to a society that is as I believe it should be, this being an equitable environment that empowers all its citizens to reach their potential in whatever they wish to pursue.

I seek roles anywhere in the world that can provide me with the opportunity to extend my impact. Whilst most of my experience has been in road safety and is an area that I have developed an expertise in, I am more generally seeking roles that crucially improve the built environment in some way. My skills are focused on research, data analysis, policy analysis, and stakeholder engagement. "

Supplementary Information:

Ideally, I would want to work in road safety specifically in areas where the level of road traffic collisions is high so that the impact of my work could be the greatest. In particular, the US is an area that I would like to relocate to, given their high level of road traffic collisions and to coincide with personal circumstances of wishing to be closer to my partner that lives over there. However, I would also be open to working in any other type of role, so long as it involves human factors, data analysis, policy analysis, and/or the built environment. I would particularly be interested in roles that relate to work that may lead to academic publications.
