Duties included: Creating market links for US companies expanding into Africa and the Middle East. Writing project proposals and budgets. Designing international direct action programmes. Representing clients on national and regional government levels.
Project sourcing, researching and writing for African companies who want to expand their business to incorporate multiple US government and non-government resources.
2010 - 2015 Country Director
Duties included: Liaising with national & local government, tribes and other entities. Transporting, constructing and managing warehousing including cold storage for the UN for distribution to camps across the lower half of South Sudan.
Distributing food and other consumables for both wholesale distribution and retail sales.
Sourcing and managing accommodation units for long term expatriate and TCN staff.
Establishing and servicing temporary accommodation in remote locations.
2007 - 2009 Project Director – Helmand Chilli Project
Duties included: Overseeing a partnership with the ministry of Agriculture in Lashkar Gah to develop a chilli drying programme based on the Min of Agricultures experimental farm (Bolan Farm) as part of USAID’s Alternative Livelihood Programme (ALP).
Budget management including overseeing all procurement. Producing by-weekly progress reports and ensuring the project met all of its milestone deliverables as per the contract.
Providing training, establishing permanent and temporary overflow accommodation for local participating farmers on a weekly rotation.
Liaising and information sharing with US and NATO forces as well as private security such as Dyn Corp and Global Risk.
Creating partnerships with local village and tribal elders to encourage the growing and drying of chillies throughout the province, initially targeting 2000 farmers.
Establishing international markets
