Functions & Responsibilities:
• Supervising of Foundations, Assembly, Erecting and stringing activities, ensuring that the principal-, and subcontractor implements and continually updates all relevant SHEQ documentation.
• Ensures that all Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements are always adhered to.
• Manages adherence to Method statements and Risk assessments, Safety Check sheets and the OHS Act and Regulations. Maintains overall responsibility for ensuring implementation and adoption amongst all on-site employees.
• Completes weekly progress updates. Furthermore, performs regular material reconciliations to ensure that material shortages are managed effectively.
• Maintains responsibility for ensuring that work is safely and cost effectively completed during outages for live line crossings.
• Attends monthly project meetings representing the client, continually liaising with and updating client as required.
• Manages principal and sub-contractors, monitoring and controlling performance.
Project Involvement:
• Everest – Merapi 400kV Transmission Line project in Virginia, Free State region. Project completed May 2018.
