Babcock - I worked as an overhead linesman for roughly 3 years. The work was very complex, raging from steel changing, earthing, pulling wire, re-insulting, landing platforms, replacing tower arms, ACD maintenance & replacement, square rigs & step bolting.
OCS (also my current position) - I worked as a tower painter for roughly two years before returning after my spell at Babcock. My main roles involved cleaning & preparing the steel structure by scraping any flake or rust back & removing all green fungi. I then applied a coat of primer. Once dried, I would return to apply a top coat finish.
