Carrying out daily duties unsupervised to progress residential property matters from inception to completion. Fast paced transactional work requiring strong attention to detail and organisational skills including a clear awareness of deadlines and communication with all parties in light thereof.
Responsible for marketing the department and taking the responsibilities of heading the department of over a dozen personnel together with a colleague. Frequent networking and marketing events. Significant majority of work sourced from word of mouth.

The department’s work is sourced by word of mouth only. The client base comprises individuals, some of particularly high value, notable local business persons & business organisations, as well as national developers & national companies.
Dealing with matters from first instruction. Liaising & communicating effectively with clients & intermediaries. Regularly attending events & creating meeting opportunities to market myself & the firm. Drafting & amending all relevant documentation & obtaining proper execution of these. Reporting to the client. Dealing with intermediaries. Completing matters & accounting to the client.
Dealing with company/commercial clients’ property as part of their business/company purchases/sales & the associated formalities including high profile business take-overs including land purchases from Local Authorities. Assisting with business sales & intellectual property matters.
Other: Organising in house professional development for all the firm’s fee earners.

Shadowed solicitors in the Employment, Housing & Land Departments & carried out research for new matters. Advised clients on maternity rights.
