Database Administrator wanted in Kuwait

The Role

• Availability and performance of the Warehouse to meet SLA; database performance tuning and SQL analysis; monitoring; fixes, upgrades and enhancements; monitor warehouse and associated systems for performance information and fault alerting.
• Expansion of existing database infrastructure to ensure continuing successful operation of the environment; design of physical aspects of the database, including partitioning strategy and storage configuration; disaster recovery planning.
• Replication of data from source systems into the warehouse environment; migration and sanitisation of data for development purposes; third-party data feeds.
• Assist the operations team (sometimes out of normal office hours) in resolving issues in the warehouse and associated databases.
• Assist in defining security policy for the warehouse; implement access controls; monitor.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of the warehouse infrastructure and associated database systems.
• Provide support to database developers and data analysts.

Applicant Requirements

• Relevant degree
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in an IT role
• Strong technical skills
• Fluent in Arabic and English
• Fun outgoing nature
• Mix well with peers
• Hardworking nature
• Determined operator
