Engineering Technician Needed in Australia

Our client has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Engineering Technician to become part of a dedicated team working on a project involving the construction of a large multi-service training facility.

Location: Melbourne, Australia

Salary

AUD $90,000-$100,000 per annum.

The Role

• Undertake the design of Civil Engineering elements of the proposed scheme.
• Provide technical assistance to the members of the Engineering team.
• Assist the Engineering team to ensure project delivery within agreed timescales and budgets.
• Expected to exercise a degree of autonomy in decision-making related to the accomplishment of the team’s objectives.
• Respond to requests for information
• Ensure that project information systems are kept up to date
• Responsible for technical information flow
• Follow established policies, procedures and instructions to ensure action is taken in a timely manner

Requirements

• Engineering degree/diploma
• Minimum of 4 years experience working in a construction environment
• Experience in the use of Civil Engineering design software
• Experience and ability to work within project teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate with clients, architects, contractors, and other consultants (at all levels)
