Skills Provision is searching for a Lecturer in Electrical Engineering to work for a company in Saudi Arabia.

An exciting opportunity for a passionate, qualified, Lecturer in Electrical Engineering, to join a professional training provider in the Middle East.

Duration: 3-year contract.

Salary & Benefits

• SAR 8,000-11,000 p/m

The Role

• Teach groups of students to the required standard.
• Prepare and mark exams and assessments.
• Tutor and mentor students.
• Provide engineering and academic advice.
• Plan, prepare and assess appropriate laboratory and other practical work associated with the courses taught.
• Prepare teaching materials, schemes of work and lesson plans as required. record, report and disseminate assessment grades.
• Monitor and report on students’ progress.
• Maintain good order in the teaching environment including statutory aspects such as safeguarding, equal opportunities and health and safety.
• Participate in quality assurance processes such as observations, self-assessment, reports and Quality Improvement Plans.

Requirements

• First degree in Engineering
• Teaching qualifications
• Experience in teaching Engineering
• Experience in mentoring new staff
• Ability to motivate and encourage students
• External/trade experience relevant to the subject area
• Knowledge and experience of IT
• Knowledge & experience of e-learning and e-assessment tools, or the willingness to engage with and develop these forms of learning
• Knowledge & experience of quality assurance & improvement
• Knowledge of relevant safeguarding legislation & requirements, or acquire this knowledge promptly after taking up post
• Ability to promote safeguarding and welfare of children & young people that s/he is responsible for, or comes into contact with
