Manufacturing Planner Required in the United States

Role

• Distribute production schedules and work orders to the relevant departments.
• Plan production commitments and timetables for business units, specific programs, and/or jobs, using sales forecasts.
• Manage suppliers.
• Issue purchase orders and ensure delivery of products and services.
• Requisition and maintain inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet production demands.
• Calculate figures such as required amounts of labour and materials, manufacturing costs, and wages.
• Review documents such as production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and materials requirements.
• Revise production schedules when required.
• Confer with department supervisors and other personnel to assess progress and discuss changes.

Requirements

• Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Mathematics.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Manufacturing Planning.
• Advanced user of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Successful Track Record working with MRP/ERP systems.
• Work well under pressure always capable of delivering results.
• Be an outgoing, personable individual with a positive attitude and a team player.
• Experience working with a sales team and new product introductions.
• Creative, analytical, and detail oriented.
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to visualise and explain mechanical concepts to manufacturing personnel or suppliers.
• Very strong written communication skills.
• Willing to travel.
