Vacancy for a Chief Financial Officer, South Africa

Skills Provision is searching for a Chief Financial Officer for a company in South Africa.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of a large portfolio, which includes finance, procurement, and supply chain, as well as Information Technology, in a cohesive Division in order to meet the objectives of strategic management, governance and integration for the company.

• R 1,700,000 p/a

The Role

• Management of a large portfolio
• Strategic management, governance and integration of organisational activities
• Preparation and submission of quarterly financial and other operational reports for strategic decision-making purposes by the Board
• Financial planning and budgeting
• Investment and cash management
• Management of the asset register
• Preparation of monthly analysis of debtors and creditors reports
• Development and implementation of the revenue model and business plan
• Ensuring effective internal control mechanisms and good governance
• Overseeing the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports and the annual financial statements
• Development and implementation of IT strategy
• Mentorship and development of direct subordinates

Requirements

• Registration as a Chartered Accountant (CA (SA)), with at least 8-10 years’ senior management experience within Finance
• Demonstrable evidence of having operated successfully at EXCO level
• Strong strategic, conceptual and decision-making abilities
• Leadership skills
• Sound business knowledge and financial management skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of the Treasury Regulations
