The number of job vacancies in the UK is on the rise, according to a new report.
According to the Recruitment and Employment Confederation and KPMG Report on Jobs for December, there was the fifth consecutive rise in the number of job vacancies in the UK.
It also showed that the number of permanent placements accelerated across the UK, as companies in the manufacturing and agricultural industries began to recover from the effects of the recession.
The number of permanent placements being advertised is now at its highest levels since July 2007, with the average salary for people in permanent jobs increasing for the second month in a row as confidence returned to the market.
Meanwhile, the Labour Force Survey recently echoed these statistics when it showed that employers are increasingly becoming confident with the prospects in the jobs market and more staff are being taken on across the UK.
