UK, Unemployment Figures down by 75,000
Data released from the UK’s Labour Force Survey (May – July) shows a decrease in the number of people out of work.
As at May – July, this year, the number of people in work, in the UK, stood at 32.14 million, the highest figure since comparable data was first produced in 1971.
The biggest concern for the UK government now, is keeping inflation in check. Average wage growth for the year was 2.1% but for August alone inflation grew by 2.8%.
It would appear the UK economy (wage growth aside) is in a healthy state, this is unusual as National and European press would have everyone believe the picture is less rosy following the vote to leave the European Union.
